It's really ab...Thanks for sharing this, Debra. It's really absurd to me that our healthcare system treats women as though they are incapable of recognizing when their body is in need of care. Also, in places without universal health care, the systems disproportionately affect the poor, meaning that women and young children are overwhelmingly affected. Let alone if that woman wants to get an abortion but cannot access one, either because it is illegal or too expensive. Only a few hundred years ago, any woman who was in mental distress was labelled "hysteric," and now in present times we have stories like your own.
